What are AdLinks, and how do I use them?
AdLinks are a traffic-filtering technology, and can be used in many ways to direct visitors towards your other websites, or to affiliate links (such as pay-per-search sites). Advanced webmasters may want to setup a site to aggregate (collect and distribute) the clicks from AdLinks or to sell the targetted traffic on a per-click basis. There are many uses for this technology, and our software makes it readily available to use quickly.
If you've noticed on other websites that incorporate similar technology (example), some of the paragraphs have a few words or a single keyword transformed to an URL. You can even use DHTML to make a DIV block pop up (like a windows tooltip) when the mouse hovers over the link. This is done by formatting how the AdLinks are displayed via the template editor.
In the AdLinks window, you enter keywords or parts of sentences, for example 'good web hosting', and wherever a paragraph on a generated page has the words 'good web hosting', a calculation is made to determine if the current page should have a chance to have this term transformed to an AdLink. The transformation occurs using the AdLinks URL assigned to the term and the format defined in your template.
